The Peace4Kids Mentor Program links foster and at-risk youth with caring adults who have made long-term commitments to mentorship. The Mentor Program has long been the single most-requested element from youth. Mentoring involves a minimum one-year commitment from adults who seek to make an impact in the lives of youth. These mentors are background-checked and undergo training to ensure compatibility with those they mentor. The Mentor Program has been hailed as a model program for successfully matching youth in foster care with mentors.

"Peace4Kids’ mentor program is such an important program. While many may think that being a mentor is all about what the mentor can bring to the life of the child (mentee) and about what the mentor can teach the mentee, really, the mentor has just as much to learn from their mentee! We’ve already seen the difference it makes in the kids’ lives and ours. Most importantly, they know that no matter what, they’ve always got someone on their side. We envision a day when every kid in the Peace4Kids family has their own mentor.”
