Since 1998, Peace4Kids has touched the lives of over 1,500 youth, countless family members, and hundreds of volunteers who have become engaged with our mission.

What defines success with foster youth?

  • Helping kids graduate from high school
  • Teaching youth that they have a voice and a choice, despite their circumstances
  • Leading young adults on a path toward housing and employment
  • Providing youth opportunities for self-expression through poetry, art and dance
  • Empowering youth to become self-advocates and leaders

With an intimate understanding of the culture of foster youth, Peace4Kids fundamentally seeks to improve the child welfare system with these goals:

  1. All foster youth served by Peace4Kids will have successfully transitioned into adulthood.
  2. Emancipated youth are living independently and have obtained stable housing.
  3. Foster and at-risk youth make responsible decisions as they progress into young adulthood, as a result of their interactions with Peace4Kids.
  4. All youth served by the Peace4Kids Emancipation Services Program will have annual medical and dental care.
  5. At least 90% of youth served by the Peace4Kids Emancipation Services Program will receive their high school diploma or GED.
  6. At least 90% of youth served by the Peace4Kids Emancipation Services Program will be employed or enrolled in secondary education upon exiting high school.

We have story after story of how Peace4Kids has helped achieve these outcomes. But the best way to experience our successes is to see us in person!
